Urdu Academy of North America pays tribute to the legend Sadeqain
The Urdu Academy of North America paid rich tribute to the legend Sadeqain. Mr. Mohammad Ali Naqvi, Founder President of Sadequain Memorial Trust, New Delhi, amused the audience with the poetry of the renowned calligrapher and painter of sub-continent Syed Sadequain Ahmed Naqvi was popularly known as Sadequain. The monthly literary event of the Urdu Academy was held on October 15, 2017 Chandni Restaurant, Newark CA.
Ba Yaad e Sadequain in New Delhi
Jamia Hamdard in collaboration with Sadequain Memorial Trust held an event on March 17, 2017 to pay tribute to the legendary artist Sadequain. Indian Vice President Hamid Ansari graced the occasion with his presence. Three close friends of Sadequain, Abrar Kiratpuri, Ashok Bhowmick and Mateen Amrohvi presented brief reflectiona of the legendary artist. The program ended with a mushaera since Sadequain was a prominent poet too. His illustrated Rubaiyat are unique. The event was also attended by Mohammad Ali Naqvi, founding president of Sadequain Memorial Trust, New Delhi.
