Urdu Academy of North America presents Gulhaye Rangarang
Urdu Academy of North America’s monthly literary event of October 20, 2024 was dedicated to Gulhaye Rangarang where Urdu lovers presented poetry of their choice.
The event was held at Chandni Restaurant, Newark CA.
At the outset Anjum Zishan recited poem, Telegraph, by Majeed Amjad.
Tasadduq Attari read ghazal YuN teri rahguzar se divanawar guzre by Naaz (Meena Kumari).
Moiz Khan recited ghazal of Daagh.
Zafar A. Zaidi recited a poem by Syed Mohammad Jafri.
Adil Ashary presented Mohsin Naqvi’s ghazal Kal raat bazm mae jo mila gulbadan sa tha.
Ra’ana Rehber read Adeem Hashmi’s ghazal Fasle aese bhi hongay ye kabhi socha na tha.
Abdus Sattar Ghazali recited a ghazal of Khatir Ghaznavi.
Zafar Yousufzai presented Faiz Ahmed Faiz’s ghazal GuloN maeN rung bharey baad e nau bahaar chalay.
Qazi Habib presented Nasir Kazmi’s ghazal Diyar e dil ki raat mae charagh sa jala gaya.
Pamy Arora jsa recited Zauq’s ghazal Ab tou ghabra k ye kehte haiN k mar jaengay. This was Pamy’s first appearance at the Urdu Academy.
Priya presented Shakeel Badayuni’s ghazal Kitne parwane jale raaz ye paane k liyay.
Suraiya Jabeen recited Prveen Shakir’s ghazal Kuubaku phail gaee baat shanasaee ki.
Finally, Talat adeer presented Nasir Kazmi’s ghazal Niyat e shauq bharr na jae kahiN.
At the end Anjum Zishan thanked the audience for attending the Urdu Academy’s literary event. She also thanked Syed Sarwat for providing facilities at Chandni Restaurant for the event.
