Sarfraz Shahid is blessed with a strong sense of humor and creativity through which he has portrayed the social issues.
He is one of the celebrated humorous poets of Pakistan, who has his own unique mature style, skill and identity.
Sarfraz Shahid is equally popular at home and abroad due to his extraordinary skills to covey harsh messages in a lighter way.
He has introduced new dimensions of humorous poetry and his works are considered a great asset for Urdu literature.
Sarfraz Shahid is the recipient of Lifetime Achievement Award, Amir Khusro Award, Pride of Performance and many other awards for his contribution.
In 2016 Sarfraz Shahid was conferred with the Presidential Award of Pride of Performance for his meritorious work in the field of literature.
With 30 books at his credit, Sarfraz Shahid has represented Pakistan in a number of national and international poetic symposiums and seminars at foreign destinations like United States, Canada and UK.
With ample experience at Meteorological Department, Islamabad, he has also been given other national and international awards in recognition of his lifetime services towards promotion and evolution of humorous poetry in Pakistan.
